We are responsible for providing over three million household and non-household customers with a continuous, high quality supply of drinking water and for taking away, treating and properly disposing of the wastewater that is produced. We are fully committed to delivering best quality service at least possible cost.

Full Service NAVs
We welcome early discussions with NAVs to consider on a case by case basis any efficiency savings achieved by a site being served via a full service NAV. We intend to review each application on a case by case basis to establish as a matter of fact what costs have been avoided for the business as incumbent supplier, and whether it is appropriate to give credit for these costs (to ensure an appropriate profit margin is available for the NAV making the application).
Our NAV guidance notes provide details on the differences that apply in statutory areas of incumbents who are wholly or mainly in Wales:
- The Large user criteria threshold;
- New connection charging rules;
- Mandatory build standards for sewers; and
- Fire sprinkler requirements (apply to Developments in Wales only).
